SRT launches fantastic value MORE4Life memberships

October 14th 2021

• New excellent value package
• Individual and family/household memberships
• Simple and affordable
• Gives access to all SRT sites
• Part of trust’s mission to get Shetland – More Active More Often
• “Access to Leisure” concession scheme introduced

Shetland Recreational Trust is launching a fantastic value new membership scheme – to give people “MORE4Life”.

MORE4Life is simple, affordable and gives members access to recreational activities at all the trust’s leisure centres across Shetland for one low price.

Individual members can join the scheme for just £25 a month, while household memberships for two adults and any number of under-18s living at the same address are just £39 a month.

That gives access to swimming pools, gym and fitness suites, health suites, studio and fitness classes, online classes, badminton, squash, and table tennis, climbing wall and bowls rinks.

It really is that simple – one monthly payment gives members the chance to enjoy all the listed activities at any of the SRT’s eight leisure centres.

Love using the Clickimin gym in your lunch break, and swimming with your family in a rural centre at the weekend?

MORE4Life membership allows you to do that and much more.

More active, more often

The transformation in the trust’s membership model is part of its objective to get Shetland – More Active, More Often.

To accompany MORE4Life a new Access to Leisure scheme is also being introduced as part of the SRT’s ambition to remove barriers to sport and leisure. Eligible people can access all the same activities as MORE4Life members but will pay just £1 each on a “pay as you play” basis.

The introduction of the new scheme is the culmination of months of hard work by SRT’s staff, senior management and trustees.

Chief executive Steven Laidlaw said he was excited to be introducing the change and believed it would prove popular.

“It is a great offer that is simple, affordable and will maximise opportunities for Shetlanders to get involved in recreational activity.”
