Introduction of access control at Clickimin - FAQ's

Q. Why have Clickimin introduced access control gates?

A. The gates have been introduced to control the flow of customers through the building. With the introduction of our MORE4life membership in 2021, we’ve been looking at ways to enhance our customer journey by giving customers the option of managing their bookings online, or via the SRT app, and then scanning straight into an area without checking into reception if they wish. The gates will also ensure that only people who have paid and who are attending activity in areas are granted access.

Q. What areas are controlled by the access gates?

A. The access control gates will control access to all pool activities including the health suite, the gym and for all activity areas on the dry side of the building.

Q. Do I need to go through the access control gates to get to the public areas in the poolside?

A. No, you can still attend the café area, toilets on the poolside concourse, pool spectator area and the Waterside Suite without having to pass through the access control.

Q. What do I need to get through the access control?

A. You will require an SRT fob or card and have a booking in an activity area to gain access through the access controls. You can use your current fob if you have one or you can purchase new fob options from our reception desk priced £3.50.

You cannot gain access without having an SRT fob or card.

Q. What happens if I don’t have a booking, if my membership is in arrears or I don’t have my fob or card?

A. If you don’t have a booking, or if your membership is in arrears, or you have a late cancellation on your account the gates will deny you access. If this happens you should report to reception who will be able to assist you with the reason for the access control denying access. If you don’t have your fob or card you will not be able to pass through the controls, again you should report to reception who will assist you.

Q. What happens if I’m attending an activity as part of a group and the booking won’t be on my individual account?

A. You will still access the building via the main reception where reception staff will override access to allow you to enter your activity area.

Q. Can I still spectate on activities in the dry side of the building?

A. Yes, you can still attend to spectate anyone you wish. You should check in at reception when you arrive and the reception staff will assist you by overriding the control to allow access.
