Clickimin Toddler Pool Competition
Winners of Clickimin's Toddler Pool design competition make a colourful splash!
In the Spring of this year, Clickimin Leisure Complex held a design competition for preschool children up to primary 2. The competition gave young children the chance to design artwork which would feature on Clickimin's Toddler Pool surround boards. The competition proved popular with over forty entries being recieved. Eight designs were chosen as category winners and the winners received a swimming goody bag, a free block of swimming lessons and their design would feature on the pool surround boards.
The winners of each category were:
Preschool
Eifa Anderson
Tamar Tait
Alia Dick
Astrid Johnson
P1 & P2
Alduin Campbell
Betsy Peterson
Arianne Leslie
Thea Manson
Liam Summers, Clickimin Duty Officer, tasked ArtMachine (Shetland) Ltd to create a design that would brighten the area as well encompass the children's fun and colourful artwork. ArtMachine came up with a porthole frame design made from a durable engraved plastic which we think it is fantastic!
Duty Officer, Liam Summers said: "The team at Clickimin would like to thank all the children that entered the competition. There were some brilliant designs which made it really tough for our panel to judge. My colleagues and I think ArtMachine have done a superb job and we hope it inspires others to enter future competitions. I would like to thank Jono Sandilands of ArtMachine for his work on the project."
