Whalsay Leisure Centre
The Whalsay Leisure Centre is situated centrally at Symbister, only a five minute walk from the ferry terminal, close to all the local amenities.
The Centre offers both wet and dry facilities with a wide range of activities for all ages from pre-school swimming to the popular Senior Leisure Club.
The ground floor consists of a 3 lane - 15m heated swimming pool with children's lagoon. The multi-purpose Games Hall comprises 3 badminton courts, which can also be used for various activities such as football, basketball, hockey, short tennis and carpet bowls to name a few.
The Squash court and multi-station Fitness Suite, complete the facilities available on the ground floor.
The first floor comprises meeting room, a large viewing gallery with pool tables, vending machines and seating area, ideal for relaxing after an activity.
Outdoors there is a flood lit all-weather playing field available for hire, with a multi-court and play park close by.
