Whalsay Leisure Centre opened on the 1st April 1990, providing an excellent facility for all users including school, club and casual use. A diverse range of facilities and activities are on offer at the centre to maintain a high standard of service and enjoyment.
Main Hall and Squash Court:

- Secure lockers available with coin return locks
Swimming Pool:
- 3 lane - 15 metre heated swimming pool
- Shallow lagoon area
- Pool depths from 0.9 – 1.8 metres
- Disabled hoist access and egress point
- Private cubicles and communal changing available

Fitness Suite:
- Modern fitness suite with range of CV and resistance machines
- 6 CV stations and 5 Fixed Weight Resistance Machines
Meeting Room:
- Small meeting room seating 8 comfortably
- Meeting equipment available including OHP, Projectors and flipcharts available on request.

Viewing Gallery:
- Large viewing gallery overlooking the main hall, squash court and swimming pool
