Clickimin - 25th Anniversary Darts Tournament

Clickimin Leisure Complex has announced that the cream of the darts world is coming to Shetland in September to compete in the 25th Anniversary Tournament.  The eight player tournament will be staged at the Complex on Saturday 11 September 2010. 

Fifteen time world champion, current Premier League and UK Open champion Phil ‘the power’ Taylor will be the highlight of the tournament.  The event will also see the 2010 Premier League runner up James Wade and third placed Mervin King travel north.  Terry Jenkins completes this year’s Premier League players with Scot Robert Thornton, 2010 PDC World Championship semi finalist Mark Webster, former World Champion Dennis Priestley and top women’s player Anastasia Dobromyslova completing the eight player line up.

Clickimin Leisure Complex manager, Robert Geddes said “We’re delighted to secure such a high calibre of darts player to the Islands.  Never before has so many top quality players assembled enmasse so it promises to be a great tournament and a great day out.  Recently the players have been firing on all cylinders with Phil Taylor and Mervin King completing three televised nine darters between them in recent weeks.”

The tournament will be a straight knockout with the quarter finals being held during the afternoon session and the finals at night.  A package deal for both sessions will go on-sale first with any remaining tickets being sold for individual sessions.

Robert added “We’re going to create a Premier League style atmosphere in the Complex with big screens and music keeping the crowd entertained throughout.  With the form of the players recently, hopefully we will see some 9 darters too!”

Package:   £50.00 (both sessions whole day)
Afternoon 2pm: £25.00
Evening 7pm: £30.00
