Sensory Rooms

Sensory Rooms are the perfect place for anyone to stimulate their senses, relax, and find comfort in a safe space.

Our two brand new state-of-the-art rooms are equipped with a range of specialised equipment and are each specially designed with a slightly different purpose. The ‘Relaxation Room’ is intended for relaxation and comfort in a calm, safe space while the ‘Energise Room’ offers the opportunity to stimulate the senses through interactive fun.

Both rooms have sensory lighting, built-in Bluetooth speakers and equipment such as bubble tubes, projectors, fibre optics, interactive panels and walls, soft seating and chairs which swing or which vibrate to the beats of music. Hoist facilities are also available on request.

Q&A

Who can book a sensory room?

Our sensory rooms can be booked individually and used by families, carers, groups, schools and adults. Parents, carers and professionals are required to supervise their individuals and groups during all bookings.

How long is a session?

Users have up to 45 minutes per booking. We ask that users allow for time to wipe down surfaces after use using the cleaning station provided and leave the room promptly to allow us to prepare and check the room before the next booking arrives.

How much does it cost to hire a sensory room?

£8.05 per 45 minute booking.

Do I need to complete an induction?

Yes. On your first visit we ask that you arrive 15 minutes before your booking start time so that we can take you through a short induction. The induction is free of charge.
